SOME IMPORTANT DATES

Tuesday 5th November- Melbourne Cup Day, LFK Closed
Sunday the 10th November- Photo Day at LFK from 3.15pm. A class photo schedule will be handed out in class. There is also a copy in the foyer.
Sunday the 10th November - Junior show Finale rehearsal at LFK from 4.00-4.45pm. This includes all Kinder Dance, Grade Prep Jazz and Grade 1 Tap and Jazz after the photo shoot.
Saturday 16th November - Senior Show* Finale rehearsal at LFK from 6.00-6.45pm. *Compulsory* All Students in grade 2 and above who are participating in the 2 senior shows need to attend. This will be the only Finale rehearsal for the whole school.
Friday 29th November at Xavier College -
135 Barkers Road, Kew
Full Dress Rehearsal for the Senior Shows from 4.30pm. A rehearsal schedule will be posted in the foyer so you can see you arrival time for rehearsal & of your routines.

Welcome back to Term 4! With only 7 weeks left until the concert there is great excitement as costumes arrive, sets and props are built, lighting is formulated, and cleaning of routines is in full swing. Please see below information updates and reminders.
Please call anytime for any clarification as we are open at reception from 9.00am to 7.00pm Monday to Friday and 9.00-2.00pm on Saturdays.

Sunday 20th October - LFK & Fox FM supporting and dancing @ the Great Strides Fun Run in the Botanical gardens at Tom’s block at 9.45am.
Friday 25th October - LFK Junior Squad is performing @ Spotswood Primary School Fete at 5.15pm
Friday 8th November - LFK Junior Squad is performing @ Newport Lakes Primary School Fete
Saturday 9th November - LFK Junior Squad is performing @ Wembley Primary School Fete at 2.30pm
Sunday 17th November - LFK Junior Squad and LFK in NYC Team
Tickets will be on sale on Friday the 1st from 9.00am. To purchase tickets, go to the Lifestyle for Kids website www.lifestyleforkids.com.au and click on the ‘Number 1 Hits’ logo. Follow the prompts on TryBooking and print out your tickets to bring on the day. Tickets are $29 per seat in the Junior show. Concession and Pensioner tickets for the Senior shows are $29, and adult tickets are $39.00. Please bring a copy of your concession card to present to the ushers if applicable. Programs and DVD’s are also available to pre –order online via TryBooking.
Bus and Snack Pack Bookings
We will be running a one-way bus trip again this year to the Friday night rehearsal at Xavier College from LFK. The cost is $15.00 per child and the bus leaves from LFK at 3.30pm sharp. Please make a booking at reception as availability is limited. Snack packs are available for the Dress Rehearsal on the 30th and must be pre ordered at $10 each. The snack includes a piece of fruit, a bottle of water, pretzels, a chocolate freddo and Grain waves or Vege Chips.
GENRAL NOTES
Costume invoices which include the cost of Concert T-shirt and the bow will be handed out to most classes in week 2. Payment can be made at reception and costumes will be handed out from week 6 or on Photo Day if paid in full. Please note costumes will not be handed out if term fees have not been paid in full, unless by arrangement with management.
Costume checklists and hair and make-up requirements will be attached to your costumes on collection.
Backstage helpers roster is up in the foyer to fill in! Help is needed in the dressing rooms so please check the roster. Only those with a backstage pass will be allowed to stay backstage. If you would like to sell programs, be an usher, help with props and sets or work in the kiosk or bar there are positions available and your help is greatly appreciated. (A Working With Children check is required.)
Rehearsal information for the senior show and Performance information packs will be handed out in class during the term.
The Junior concert, Act 1 and the Act 2 order will be up in the foyer very soon so you can plan and practice your costume changes.
Music for all routines will be on the website by week 3 so you can practice your routines at home.
Dress rehearsal order for Xavier will be up soon. Younger students will rehearse first and are welcome to continue watching the other routines, or go home and get ready for the big concert day.
Programs are available at the show for $10.00 please bring cash only. If you have pre-ordered, they can be collected from the kiosk at Xavier College.
DVD’s will be available for pre- order online and can be collected at LFK reception in the last week of term, they are $40.00.
Mousette Productions will be taking photos for all 3 concerts and will be available online to purchase approximately 1 week after the show.
No videos or photos are permitted during the concert. Xavier College has prohibited all unlicensed photography and videography. Ushers will ask you to refrain and fines may be issued for copyright.
Dancewear Nation is ready to help you with all you dance wear needs, shoes, tights and accessories.@ 70 Douglas Parade Williamstown. Please don’t leave your purchase for shoes and tights until just before the concert as stock may be unavailable.
LFK has your new dance shorts in all sizes as you must have them in good condition for the finale. We have new shorts that are black with a white trim. (Excluding Kinder Dance)
Please do not miss any classes over the next few weeks as it is very disruptive for the teachers and other students Dance is a team sport!!!
Please note for the senior concert, all students will have the same singular hairstyle. (two braids into a high ponytail) The ponytail must be straightened. Ballet students can twist their ponytail straight into a bun if they are in other routines. Please pre-organise your own braiding from either a senior student, friend, a parent or a hairdresser so you are organised on the day.
A Hair Salon will be operating outside the theatre in the loading bay. If you would like to make a booking please see reception. The cost is $15 which goes straight to the hairdresser and payment must be made in full on booking as spaces are limited.
