Term 1 Dance Newsletter 2022

Welcome back to LFK 2022! We are so excited that everyone is back to dance after a crazy two years! We hope you all had a lovely Christmas and a relaxing break, and that you are ready for another amazing year at LFK!

We have had such a busy, but incredible start to 2022! With amazing new teachers starting, the Industry Squad booked out with performances and opportunities, and awesome classes running everyday, we think that this is going to be the best year at LFK yet!

Please read the following information for updates on events, uniform and announcements for Term 1.

Saturday 9th April – Last day of Term 1

Saturday 9th April – LFK Industry Squad perform at VIXENS game

12th, 13th, 20th & 21st April - Holiday Program (COMING SOON!)

15th - 18th April - Closed for Easter

Tuesday 25th April - Closed for ANZAC day

Term 2 Dates:

Sunday 31st July - Internal Dance Choreography Competition

Fees for Term 1 are now due. Fees can be paid over the phone by credit card or direct debit if you do not have a chance to come to reception between 9-7pm Monday to Friday.

LFK UNIFORM

If you haven’t purchased the appropriate uniform for your child yet please aim to do so. Please make sure the correct uniform (including shoes) is worn, and that hair is up and tidy for class. Any questions about the exact uniform please ask reception, we also have the posters in the foyer or have a look on our website at the full uniform lists including pictures and pricing.

NEW CLASS ALERT

We are very excited to announce our NEW MUMS TAP CLASS Wednesday 8.00-9.00pm with our beautiful teacher Darcy who has just returned from working at Universal Studios!

MOUSETTE PRODUCTIONS PHOTOSHOOT

After such a successful photoshoot in 2020, LFK will be hosting a second shoot with the lovely Tonille from Mousette Productions. This is a perfect opportunity to get your dance, gym, acro, family and group photos! (I think we are all due for some updated photos!)

When: Sunday 20th March. Time: 10 Minute time slots available from 2-6pm. Cost: $20 per time slot

Who: Available to all LFK students, families and friends!

Your photos will be made available for purchase in the weeks after the photoshoot. This is done through the Mousette Productions website.

NEW DANCE TEACHERS

We would like to welcome our new dance teachers for 2022! Jade Carr, Mikaela King, and a welcome back to Darcy Ward.

Our talented teachers are all working professionally in the industry, Jade has studied full-time dance at Patrick School of the Arts and is taking advanced contemporary, acro and Jazz.

We welcome back Darcy from 2 years at Universal studios in Tokyo taking tap and jazz and boys Hip Hop. We are very lucky to have all of them as a part of the LFK team.

We say farewell to our beautiful ballet teacher Zoey Camillieri who will be teaching in Singapore!

We wish you all the best and we will miss you!

DANCE CAPTAINS 2022

Finally, we would like to introduce and welcome our two Dance Captains for 2022. Romi Gould and Mia McCarroll have been selected to help facilitate the smooth running of the dance faculty at LFK and be the middle ear between the teachers, students and staff. They are excellent role models and dancers and will create a fantastic path for all of the younger dancers to dance along. Congratulations girls!
